ABRSM publishes three books of easy piano arrangements
Piano Mix, published by ABRSM, is a series of easy piano arrangements created to help pianists progress from Grades 1 to 4, while introducing them to a wide range of genres and composers. 'Dip into these arrangements with plenty of time to spare as you will be hooked; the next hour or two will instantly disappear in a magical world of folk song, orchestral works, jazz standards and popular culture. These pieces are sensitively crafted with few stretches of even an octave and caringly arranged,' said Anthony Williams, Head of Keyboard and Instrumental Music, Radley College. The series has been compiled and edited by David Blackwell, who also contributed arrangements alongside other leading music educators such as Alan Bullard, Nikki Iles, Tim Richards and Christopher Norton, amongst others. 'We’ve chosen arrangements that are skilfully crafted from the original yet also lie comfortably under the fingers and fit the grade parameters of ABRSM. That means teachers can be confident choosing these pieces for their pupils,' said series compiler David Blackwell.
